| CVE-2020-36787 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: aspeed: fix clock handling logic Video engine uses eclk and vclk for its clock sources and its reset control is coupled with eclk so the current clock enabling sequence works like below. Enable eclk De-assert Video Engine reset 10ms delay Enable vclk It introduces improper reset on the Video Engine hardware and eventually the hardware generates unexpected DMA memory transfers that can corrupt memory region in random and sporadic patterns. This issue is observed very rarely on some specific AST2500 SoCs but it causes a critical kernel panic with making a various shape of signature so it's extremely hard to debug. Moreover, the issue is observed even when the video engine is not actively used because udevd turns on the video engine hardware for a short time to make a query in every boot. To fix this issue, this commit changes the clock handling logic to make the reset de-assertion triggered after enabling both eclk and vclk. Also, it adds clk_unprepare call for a case when probe fails. clk: ast2600: fix reset settings for eclk and vclk Video engine reset setting should be coupled with eclk to match it with the setting for previous Aspeed SoCs which is defined in clk-aspeed.c since all Aspeed SoCs are sharing a single video engine driver. Also, reset bit 6 is defined as 'Video Engine' reset in datasheet so it should be de-asserted when eclk is enabled. This commit fixes the setting. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45901 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-03 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: revert commit_mutex usage in reset path It causes circular lock dependency between commit_mutex, nfnl_subsys_ipset and nlk_cb_mutex when nft reset, ipset list, and iptables-nft with '-m set' rule run at the same time. Previous patches made it safe to run individual reset handlers concurrently so commit_mutex is no longer required to prevent this. | ||||

| CVE-2023-6507 | 1 Python | 2 Cpython, Python | 2026-07-31 | 6.1 Medium |
| An issue was found in CPython 3.12.0 `subprocess` module on POSIX platforms. The issue was fixed in CPython 3.12.1 and does not affect other stable releases. When using the `extra_groups=` parameter with an empty list as a value (ie `extra_groups=[]`) the logic regressed to not call `setgroups(0, NULL)` before calling `exec()`, thus not dropping the original processes' groups before starting the new process. There is no issue when the parameter isn't used or when any value is used besides an empty list. This issue only impacts CPython processes run with sufficient privilege to make the `setgroups` system call (typically `root`). | ||||

| CVE-2025-71302 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: fix for dma-fence safe access rules Commit 506aa8b02a8d6 ("dma-fence: Add safe access helpers and document the rules") details the dma-fence safe access rules. The most common culprit is that drm_sched_fence_get_timeline_name may race with group_free_queue. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71300 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "arm64: zynqmp: Add an OP-TEE node to the device tree" This reverts commit 06d22ed6b6635b17551f386b50bb5aaff9b75fbe. OP-TEE logic in U-Boot automatically injects a reserved-memory node along with optee firmware node to kernel device tree. The injection logic is dependent on that there is no manually defined optee node. Having the node in zynqmp.dtsi effectively breaks OP-TEE's insertion of the reserved-memory node, causing memory access violations during runtime. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71292 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: nlink overflow in jfs_rename If nlink is maximal for a directory (-1) and inside that directory you perform a rename for some child directory (not moving from the parent), then the nlink of the first directory is first incremented and later decremented. Normally this is fine, but when nlink = -1 this causes a wrap around to 0, and then drop_nlink issues a warning. After applying the patch syzbot no longer issues any warnings. I also ran some basic fs tests to look for any regressions. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71289 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: handle attr_set_size() errors when truncating files If attr_set_size() fails while truncating down, the error is silently ignored and the inode may be left in an inconsistent state. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71158 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: mpsse: ensure worker is torn down When an IRQ worker is running, unplugging the device would cause a crash. The sealevel hardware this driver was written for was not hotpluggable, so I never realized it. This change uses a spinlock to protect a list of workers, which it tears down on disconnect. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71132 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smc91x: fix broken irq-context in PREEMPT_RT When smc91x.c is built with PREEMPT_RT, the following splat occurs in FVP_RevC: [ 13.055000] smc91x LNRO0003:00 eth0: link up, 10Mbps, half-duplex, lpa 0x0000 [ 13.062137] BUG: workqueue leaked atomic, lock or RCU: kworker/2:1[106] [ 13.062137] preempt=0x00000000 lock=0->0 RCU=0->1 workfn=mld_ifc_work [ 13.062266] C ** replaying previous printk message ** [ 13.062266] CPU: 2 UID: 0 PID: 106 Comm: kworker/2:1 Not tainted 6.18.0-dirty #179 PREEMPT_{RT,(full)} [ 13.062353] Hardware name: , BIOS [ 13.062382] Workqueue: mld mld_ifc_work [ 13.062469] Call trace: [ 13.062494] show_stack+0x24/0x40 (C) [ 13.062602] __dump_stack+0x28/0x48 [ 13.062710] dump_stack_lvl+0x7c/0xb0 [ 13.062818] dump_stack+0x18/0x34 [ 13.062926] process_scheduled_works+0x294/0x450 [ 13.063043] worker_thread+0x260/0x3d8 [ 13.063124] kthread+0x1c4/0x228 [ 13.063235] ret_from_fork+0x10/0x20 This happens because smc_special_trylock() disables IRQs even on PREEMPT_RT, but smc_special_unlock() does not restore IRQs on PREEMPT_RT. The reason is that smc_special_unlock() calls spin_unlock_irqrestore(), and rcu_read_unlock_bh() in __dev_queue_xmit() cannot invoke rcu_read_unlock() through __local_bh_enable_ip() when current->softirq_disable_cnt becomes zero. To address this issue, replace smc_special_trylock() with spin_trylock_irqsave(). | ||||
| CVE-2025-71127 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: Discard Beacon frames to non-broadcast address Beacon frames are required to be sent to the broadcast address, see IEEE Std 802.11-2020, 11.1.3.1 ("The Address 1 field of the Beacon .. frame shall be set to the broadcast address"). A unicast Beacon frame might be used as a targeted attack to get one of the associated STAs to do something (e.g., using CSA to move it to another channel). As such, it is better have strict filtering for this on the received side and discard all Beacon frames that are sent to an unexpected address. This is even more important for cases where beacon protection is used. The current implementation in mac80211 is correctly discarding unicast Beacon frames if the Protected Frame bit in the Frame Control field is set to 0. However, if that bit is set to 1, the logic used for checking for configured BIGTK(s) does not actually work. If the driver does not have logic for dropping unicast Beacon frames with Protected Frame bit 1, these frames would be accepted in mac80211 processing as valid Beacon frames even though they are not protected. This would allow beacon protection to be bypassed. While the logic for checking beacon protection could be extended to cover this corner case, a more generic check for discard all Beacon frames based on A1=unicast address covers this without needing additional changes. Address all these issues by dropping received Beacon frames if they are sent to a non-broadcast address. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71072 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 8.2 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: shmem: fix recovery on rename failures maple_tree insertions can fail if we are seriously short on memory; simple_offset_rename() does not recover well if it runs into that. The same goes for simple_offset_rename_exchange(). Moreover, shmem_whiteout() expects that if it succeeds, the caller will progress to d_move(), i.e. that shmem_rename2() won't fail past the successful call of shmem_whiteout(). Not hard to fix, fortunately - mtree_store() can't fail if the index we are trying to store into is already present in the tree as a singleton. For simple_offset_rename_exchange() that's enough - we just need to be careful about the order of operations. For simple_offset_rename() solution is to preinsert the target into the tree for new_dir; the rest can be done without any potentially failing operations. That preinsertion has to be done in shmem_rename2() rather than in simple_offset_rename() itself - otherwise we'd need to deal with the possibility of failure after successful shmem_whiteout(). | ||||
