| CVE-2026-14666 | 1 Postgresql | 1 Postgresql | 2026-08-29 | 4.2 Medium |
| Incomplete tracking in PostgreSQL of changes to role membership, role attributes, and database ownership allows a query to continue using cached row-level security policies after those changes require a different policy, via plan reuse. Stale policies continue until some other event invalidates the cache or connection termination ends the session. This permits a user to complete reads and modifications that were recently permitted but now forbidden. An attacker must tailor an attack to a particular application's pattern of privilege removal and role-specific row security policies. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected. | ||||

| CVE-2026-80672 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-29 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: fix u16 truncation of restart-area length check ntfs_check_restart_area() validates that the $LogFile restart area and its trailing log client record array fit within the system page size: u16 ra_ofs, ra_len, ca_ofs; ... ra_len = ca_ofs + le16_to_cpu(ra->log_clients) * sizeof(struct log_client_record); if (ra_ofs + ra_len > le32_to_cpu(rp->system_page_size) || ...) return false; ra_len is u16, but the right-hand side is computed in size_t (sizeof(struct log_client_record) == 160). Both ca_ofs and log_clients come straight from the on-disk restart area. With an on-disk log_clients of 410 the product 410 * 160 = 65600; adding ca_ofs and storing into the u16 ra_len truncates modulo 65536 (e.g. ca_ofs 64 gives ra_len 128), so the "fits in the page" check passes even though the client array described by log_clients extends far beyond the page. ntfs_check_log_client_array() then walks the array bounded only by the on-disk log_clients count: cr = ca + idx; if (cr->prev_client != LOGFILE_NO_CLIENT) ... For log_clients 410 it dereferences records up to ca + 409 * 160, ~64 KiB past the kvzalloc(system_page_size) restart-page buffer -- an out-of-bounds read of attacker-controlled extent, reachable when a crafted NTFS image is mounted (load_and_check_logfile() at mount time). This is the in-kernel analogue of CVE-2022-30789, fixed in the ntfs-3g userspace driver but never in this revived classic driver. Compute the restart-area length in a u32 so the existing bounds check rejects an over-large client array instead of being defeated by the truncation. Widen ra_ofs and ca_ofs to u32 as well: both are loaded from __le16 on-disk fields and every comparison already promotes to int/size_t, so this changes no result and keeps the declaration uniform. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80649 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-29 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_scmi: Fix OOB in scmi_power_name_get() scmi_power_name_get() does not validate the domain number passed by the external caller, which may lead to an out-of-bounds access. Fix this by returning "unknown" for invalid domains, like scmi_reset_name_get() does. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80673 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-29 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: bound the look-ahead attribute-list entry in ntfs_external_attr_find() When resolving an attribute lookup with a non-zero @lowest_vcn, ntfs_external_attr_find() peeks at the next $ATTRIBUTE_LIST entry to decide whether to keep searching, but bounds that not-yet-validated entry only with "(u8 *)next_al_entry + 6 < al_end" (which proves just bytes 0..6 are in range) and "(u8 *)next_al_entry + length <= al_end" with an attacker-controlled, non-8-aligned length. It then reads next_al_entry->lowest_vcn (an __le64 at offset 8) and the name at next_al_entry->name_offset, both of which can lie past al_end -- the exact end of the kvmalloc'd attribute-list buffer (allocated at the on-disk attr_list_size, no rounding). A crafted on-disk $ATTRIBUTE_LIST whose last entry sits a few bytes before al_end therefore yields a slab out-of-bounds read when the inode is read. Validate the look-ahead entry with ntfs_attr_list_entry_is_valid() (added in patch 1/3) before dereferencing lowest_vcn and the name, so the same fixed-header, length and name bounds the main attribute-list walk uses now guard this read too. | ||||

| CVE-2026-59981 | 2026-08-28 | 7.1 High | ||
| OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image file format, widely used in the motion picture industry. In versions through 3.2.10, 3.3.0 through 3.3.12, and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13, the OpenEXRUtil library returns an out-of-bounds pointer from the SampleCountChannel::row() API when a deep image has a non-zero dataWindow origin. The row() accessor is documented as 0-based and computes its address from an internal base that is offset for absolute pixel coordinates, so the two coordinate models conflict whenever dataWindow.min is non-zero. For a deep image whose data window has a large negative vertical origin, row(0) points far outside the allocated sample-count buffer. An application that opens an attacker-controlled deep EXR file and accesses sample counts through row() performs an out-of-bounds read, which can crash the process or, under a controlled heap layout, return adjacent heap memory as sample-count values. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.11, 3.3.13, and 3.4.14. | ||||

| CVE-2026-80595 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-28 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: ims-pcu - add response length checks The driver processes response data from device buffers without verifying that the device actually sent enough data. This can lead to out-of-bounds reads or processing stale data. Add checks for the expected response length before accessing the buffers. | ||||
| CVE-2026-74751 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-28 | 9.4 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: lib: Fix ZBB strnlen reading past count boundary The ZBB-optimized strnlen loop loads one word ahead before checking the aligned boundary: REG_L t1, SZREG(t0) // load next word addi t0, t0, SZREG // advance orc.b t1, t1 bgeu t0, t4, 4f // boundary check AFTER load where t4 = (s + count) & -SZREG. When s is aligned and count is a multiple of SZREG, t4 equals s + count and the loop loads a full word starting at exactly s + count. If s + count falls on a page boundary with the next page unmapped, this faults. Fix by computing the aligned boundary from the last valid byte (s + count - 1) instead of s + count. This makes the loop stop at the word containing the last valid byte rather than potentially loading the word after it. The count == 0 case is already handled by the beqz early exit. Also add a pre-loop guard (bgeu t0, t4) for the case where all valid bytes fit within the first word. With the adjusted boundary, t4 can equal t0, and entering the loop with stale register state from the first-word processing would produce incorrect results. The final minu clamp ensures the result is still correct when the last loaded word extends past s + count - 1 within the same aligned word. | ||||
| CVE-2026-81334 | 1 Hank-ai | 1 Darknet | 2026-08-27 | 6.1 Medium |
| darknet subscripts its layer array with an index taken from a configuration file without checking it against the array's length. The array is allocated in src-lib/darknet_network.cpp as xcalloc(net.n, sizeof(Darknet::Layer)), sized to exactly the number of layer sections the file declares. The shortcut, scale_channels and sam sections supply that index through their from field and the route section through its layers field, and parse_shortcut_section in src-lib/darknet_cfg.cpp reads net.layers[index].outputs with no bounds check, which reads past the allocation. The dispatch loop in create_network then reuses the same index to assign net.layers[l.index].use_bin_output and net.layers[l.index].keep_delta_gpu, writing past the allocation at an offset the file controls, with a fixed one-byte value. Parsing a crafted configuration file is sufficient: the parse runs before any weights file is opened and needs no non-default option, so the result is a reliable crash and a write whose location, though not its value, is chosen by whoever supplied the file. | ||||
| CVE-2026-71402 | 1 Suse | 1 Wicked | 2026-08-27 | 5.4 Medium |
| An out-of-bounds read was found in the DHCPv4 packet capture code of wicked. ni_capture_inspect_udp_header() in src/capture.c reports the IP total length as the payload length instead of the length of the remaining UDP payload. Consequently, the DHCP option walker in the DHCPv4 client (wickedd-dhcp4) reads up to ihl + 8 bytes — at most 68 bytes — past the end of the 1500-byte packet receive buffer. An unauthenticated attacker on the same network who sends a crafted DHCP/UDP packet can make the client parse adjacent heap memory as DHCP options, so that heap contents such as allocator metadata or pointer values can be interpreted into lease fields. The over-read is bounded to 68 bytes; no memory write, no attacker control over the adjacent bytes and no remote exfiltration primitive has been demonstrated. This issue affects wicked up to and including version 0.6.80. | ||||
| CVE-2026-79239 | 1 Google | 2 Android, Chrome | 2026-08-27 | 6.5 Medium |
