| Using snakeYAML to parse untrusted YAML files may be vulnerable to Denial of Service attacks (DOS). If the parser is running on user supplied input, an attacker may supply content that causes the parser to crash by stackoverflow. | ||||
| CVE-2022-3008 | 2 Debian, Tinygltf Project | 2 Debian Linux, Tinygltf | 2025-04-21 | 8.1 High |
| The tinygltf library uses the C library function wordexp() to perform file path expansion on untrusted paths that are provided from the input file. This function allows for command injection by using backticks. An attacker could craft an untrusted path input that would result in a path expansion. We recommend upgrading to 2.6.0 or past commit 52ff00a38447f06a17eab1caa2cf0730a119c751 | ||||
| CVE-2022-40149 | 3 Debian, Jettison Project, Redhat | 11 Debian Linux, Jettison, Amq Streams and 8 more | 2025-04-21 | 6.5 Medium |
| Those using Jettison to parse untrusted XML or JSON data may be vulnerable to Denial of Service attacks (DOS). If the parser is running on user supplied input, an attacker may supply content that causes the parser to crash by stackoverflow. This effect may support a denial of service attack. | ||||
| CVE-2022-40150 | 3 Debian, Jettison Project, Redhat | 11 Debian Linux, Jettison, Amq Streams and 8 more | 2025-04-21 | 6.5 Medium |
| Those using Jettison to parse untrusted XML or JSON data may be vulnerable to Denial of Service attacks (DOS). If the parser is running on user supplied input, an attacker may supply content that causes the parser to crash by Out of memory. This effect may support a denial of service attack. | ||||
| CVE-2022-3176 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2025-04-21 | 7.8 High |
| There exists a use-after-free in io_uring in the Linux kernel. Signalfd_poll() and binder_poll() use a waitqueue whose lifetime is the current task. It will send a POLLFREE notification to all waiters before the queue is freed. Unfortunately, the io_uring poll doesn't handle POLLFREE. This allows a use-after-free to occur if a signalfd or binder fd is polled with io_uring poll, and the waitqueue gets freed. We recommend upgrading past commit fc78b2fc21f10c4c9c4d5d659a685710ffa63659 | ||||
| CVE-2022-41853 | 3 Debian, Hsqldb, Redhat | 8 Debian Linux, Hypersql Database, Camel Spring Boot and 5 more | 2025-04-21 | 8 High |
| Those using java.sql.Statement or java.sql.PreparedStatement in hsqldb (HyperSQL DataBase) to process untrusted input may be vulnerable to a remote code execution attack. By default it is allowed to call any static method of any Java class in the classpath resulting in code execution. The issue can be prevented by updating to 2.7.1 or by setting the system property "hsqldb.method_class_names" to classes which are allowed to be called. For example, System.setProperty("hsqldb.method_class_names", "abc") or Java argument -Dhsqldb.method_class_names="abc" can be used. From version 2.7.1 all classes by default are not accessible except those in java.lang.Math and need to be manually enabled. | ||||
| CVE-2017-14862 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Exiv2 | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Exiv2 | 2025-04-20 | 5.5 Medium |
| An Invalid memory address dereference was discovered in Exiv2::DataValue::read in value.cpp in Exiv2 0.26. The vulnerability causes a segmentation fault and application crash, which leads to denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2017-7483 | 2 Debian, Rxvt Project | 2 Debian Linux, Rxvt | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
| Rxvt 2.7.10 is vulnerable to a denial of service attack by passing the value -2^31 inside a terminal escape code, which results in a non-invertible integer that eventually leads to a segfault due to an out of bounds read. | ||||
| CVE-2017-14859 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Exiv2 | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Exiv2 | 2025-04-20 | 5.5 Medium |
| An Invalid memory address dereference was discovered in Exiv2::StringValueBase::read in value.cpp in Exiv2 0.26. The vulnerability causes a segmentation fault and application crash, which leads to denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2017-14737 | 2 Botan Project, Debian | 2 Botan, Debian Linux | 2025-04-20 | 5.5 Medium |
| A cryptographic cache-based side channel in the RSA implementation in Botan before 1.10.17, and 1.11.x and 2.x before 2.3.0, allows a local attacker to recover information about RSA secret keys, as demonstrated by CacheD. This occurs because an array is indexed with bits derived from a secret key. | ||||
| CVE-2017-14633 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Xiph.org | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libvorbis | 2025-04-20 | 6.5 Medium |
| In Xiph.Org libvorbis 1.3.5, an out-of-bounds array read vulnerability exists in the function mapping0_forward() in mapping0.c, which may lead to DoS when operating on a crafted audio file with vorbis_analysis(). | ||||
| CVE-2017-14632 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Xiph.org | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libvorbis | 2025-04-20 | 9.8 Critical |

| CVE-2017-17914 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Imagemagick | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Imagemagick | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In ImageMagick 7.0.7-16 Q16, a vulnerability was found in the function ReadOnePNGImage in coders/png.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (ReadOneMNGImage large loop) via a crafted mng image file. | ||||
| CVE-2017-17087 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Vim | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Vim | 2025-04-20 | 5.5 Medium |
| fileio.c in Vim prior to 8.0.1263 sets the group ownership of a .swp file to the editor's primary group (which may be different from the group ownership of the original file), which allows local users to obtain sensitive information by leveraging an applicable group membership, as demonstrated by /etc/shadow owned by root:shadow mode 0640, but /etc/.shadow.swp owned by root:users mode 0640, a different vulnerability than CVE-2017-1000382. | ||||
| CVE-2017-5506 | 2 Debian, Imagemagick | 2 Debian Linux, Imagemagick | 2025-04-20 | 7.8 High |
| Double free vulnerability in magick/profile.c in ImageMagick allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via a crafted file. | ||||
| CVE-2017-14604 | 3 Debian, Gnome, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Nautilus, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-20 | 6.5 Medium |
| GNOME Nautilus before 3.23.90 allows attackers to spoof a file type by using the .desktop file extension, as demonstrated by an attack in which a .desktop file's Name field ends in .pdf but this file's Exec field launches a malicious "sh -c" command. In other words, Nautilus provides no UI indication that a file actually has the potentially unsafe .desktop extension; instead, the UI only shows the .pdf extension. One (slightly) mitigating factor is that an attack requires the .desktop file to have execute permission. The solution is to ask the user to confirm that the file is supposed to be treated as a .desktop file, and then remember the user's answer in the metadata::trusted field. | ||||
