CVE-2026-108759 1 Ericlbuehler 1 Mistral.rs 2026-10-11 6.8 Medium
mistral.rs 0.9.0 through 0.9.4 contains a link following vulnerability in mistralrs-code-exec that allows sandboxed shell code to read and overwrite files outside the sandbox via symlinks. Attackers or prompt-injected agents can name symlinks as outputs or reuse sessions with symlinked input paths to access files with the server process's permissions.
CVE-2026-108839 2026-10-11 4.2 Medium
thClaws through 0.141.0 contains a link-following vulnerability in the post_inputs handler of the v1 API POST /v1/inputs endpoint that allows writes outside the workspace by following symlinks. Attackers who plant a symlink under the allowed inputs/ prefix can cause later authenticated uploads to write or truncate files outside the workspace with daemon privileges.
CVE-2026-108119 2 Busybox, Redhat 4 Busybox, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 1 more 2026-10-11 6.3 Medium
A flaw was found in busybox. The tar applet's deferred link-creation handling for symlink and hardlink entries with unsafe-looking targets does not validate that the resolved destination remains inside the extraction directory once the deferred link is created. An attacker can craft a tar archive using a symlink target of exactly '..' combined with a deferred hardlink to create a new file outside the extraction directory, or reuse an extraction directory across two archives to replace an existing file outside it. If the archive is extracted with elevated privileges, this flaw can lead to privilege escalation or arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2026-108599 1 Pulseaiclub 1 Phi 2026-10-11 4.7 Medium
phi 0.1.1 through 0.28.4 contains an improper link resolution vulnerability that allows malicious repositories to bypass workspace_only_writes by exploiting lexical-only path checks in the permission gate. Attackers can commit symlinks pointing outside the workspace and use prompt injection to make the write tool write attacker-influenced content to external files without approval.
CVE-2026-108600 1 Open-multi-agent 1 Open-multi-agent 2026-10-11 4.7 Medium
open-multi-agent (@open-multi-agent/core) 1.5.0 through 1.21.2 contains a link following vulnerability in the file_write tool sandbox that allows attackers to create files outside the workspace root by using dangling symlinks. Attackers can plant a dangling symlink in the workspace and steer the agent via prompt injection to write attacker-influenced content anywhere the agent process can write.
CVE-2026-108751 2026-10-11 4.4 Medium
MoAI-ADK through 3.1.2 contains an improper link resolution vulnerability in the moai init template deployer that allows malicious repositories to overwrite files outside the project via a symlinked .moai-tmp staging path. Attackers can commit a symlink such as .claude/settings.json.moai-tmp so atomicWriteFile truncates and overwrites victim-writable files with MoAI template content.
CVE-2026-108723 2026-10-11 2.5 Low
answer-me-with-html through 0.5.0 contains a link following vulnerability in the am CLI code block src= embedding, where localPath() checks only path text without resolving symlinks. Attackers can ship a repository with a symlink pointing outside the checkout so am render embeds readable external files into generated HTML, disclosing them when shared.
CVE-2026-76465 1 Cisco 1 Nx-os Software 2026-10-11 9.8 Critical
A vulnerability in the MPLS Operation, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) feature of Cisco NX-OS Software for Cisco Nexus 3000 Series Switches and Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary code with root privileges or cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to improper validation when an affected device is processing an MPLS echo-request packet. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted MPLS echo-request to an IP address on an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code with root privileges and could cause process crashes, which could result in a device reload and a DoS condition.
CVE-2026-82049 1 Python 1 Cpython 2026-10-11 7.1 High
In CPython 3.13 and earlier, the tarfile module's data and tar extraction filters are vulnerable to crafted archives containing a hard link to a symbolic link. Such archives may cause extraction to modify the permissions or modification time of a file outside the destination directory, or expose the contents of that file within the extracted tree.
CVE-2026-106578 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-10-10 5.9 Medium
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-31 and 6.9.13-56, a crafted image can cause an invalid memory free in the MVG decoder and crash the process. This issue is fixed in versions 7.1.2-31 and 6.9.13-56.
CVE-2026-12345 1 Python 1 Cpython 2026-10-10 6.3 Medium
The cleanup of tempfile.TemporaryDirectory is vulnerable to a race condition. An attacker who can modify the tree during cleanup can replace a directory with a symbolic link, causing files outside of the temporary directory to be deleted or have their permissions and file flags reset, with the privileges of the process performing the cleanup. Note that platforms where shutil.rmtree.avoids_symlink_attacks is false, remain affected, and file flags may still be reset outside of the tree on all platforms.
CVE-2026-107807 1 0xjacky 1 Nginx-ui 2026-10-09 8.8 High
Nginx UI is a web user interface for the Nginx web server. From 2.0.0 until 2.5.0, Nginx UI accepts the Node.Secret master credential through the node_secret query parameter in HTTP and WebSocket authentication paths instead of requiring the X-Node-Secret header. The credential can consequently appear in access logs, proxy logs, browser history, Referer headers, configuration URLs, and deployment environment data. A party that obtains the secret can bypass normal password, JWT, session, and second-factor checks and obtain persistent administrative API access, including access to configuration and secret material. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.0.
CVE-2026-106507 2 Backstage, Linuxfoundation 4 Backstage, Plugin-techdocs-node, Backstage and 1 more 2026-10-09 5.3 Medium
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.15.4, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by techdocs arbitrary file read via mkdocs snippets. Unsafe path resolution in TechDocs source tree handling allows an authenticated user who can register documentation sources to include content from outside the intended documentation boundary. Depending on deployment, this may expose files readable by the build process. This issue is fixed in version 1.15.4.
CVE-2026-106508 2 Backstage, Linuxfoundation 4 Backstage, Plugin-techdocs-node, Backstage and 1 more 2026-10-09 5.3 Medium
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.15.4, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by potential file exposure through local techdocs publisher. When using the local TechDocs publisher (techdocs.publisher.type: 'local'), it was possible for the documentation serving endpoint to follow filesystem references outside the intended documentation tree, potentially exposing host files to authenticated users. This is mitigated by the fact that exploration requires preconditions that do not arise through normal MkDocs operation. Cloud-based publishers (S3, GCS, Azure Blob Storage) are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.15.4.
CVE-2026-107810 1 0xjacky 1 Nginx-ui 2026-10-09 8.1 High
Nginx UI is a web user interface for the Nginx web server. From 2.0.0 until 2.5.0, internal/backup/restore.go extracts inner archives before applying the restore_nginx and restore_nginx_ui flags and permits symlinks targeting the live Nginx configuration path. An authenticated user who can create and restore backups can craft a valid backup that places a symlink in the staging tree and then writes a regular file through that link, even when both restore flags are false. This can persistently inject configuration or cause denial of service when the modified files are later consumed. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.0.
CVE-2026-89091 1 Redhat 14 Acm, Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Core and 11 more 2026-10-09 8.8 High
A flaw was found in ansible-core. When installing a collection with `ansible-galaxy collection install`, the archive extractor validates member paths using lexical path normalisation (os.path.abspath) instead of resolving symbolic links (os.path.realpath), and it performs no containment check on symlink-typed directory members before creating them. A crafted collection tarball can chain symlink directory entries so that a subsequent file member is written outside the intended destination directory. This allows an attacker who can get a victim to install a malicious collection to overwrite arbitrary files with the privileges of the user running ansible-galaxy, leading to code execution on the control node. This is a bypass of the fix for CVE-2020-10691.
CVE-2026-56857 1 Go Standard Library 2 Internal/syscall/windows, Os 2026-10-09 9.8 Critical
On Windows, when the target of Root.Mkdir or Root.MkdirAll is a junction pointing to an empty location, the operation can create a directory at the junction target even when that target is located outside the root. This only applies to operations where the last path component is a junction (path/to/junction, but not path/junction/target).
CVE-2026-107716 1 Masci 1 Banks 2026-10-09 7.3 High
Banks generates meaningful LLM prompts using a simple template language. Prior to 2.5.1, Banks DirectoryPromptRegistry does not reject symbolic links for index.json or discovered and existing .jinja prompt files. In an application where untrusted users can influence a prompt directory, DirectoryPromptRegistry._scan() and DirectoryPromptRegistry.get() can follow a link outside the registry root and disclose a file, while DirectoryPromptRegistry.set(), DirectoryPromptRegistry._save(), and DirectoryPromptRegistry._load() can read or overwrite an external link target. The issue requires attacker influence over the registry directory or its extracted contents. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.1.
CVE-2026-107707 1 Intego 1 Intego Antivirus 2026-10-09 7.8 High
Intego Antivirus for Windows through 3.0.0.1 contains a link following vulnerability in its optimization module that allows local unprivileged users to delete arbitrary folders as SYSTEM. Attackers can replace a scanned duplicate file's directory with a junction to C:\Config.msi and abuse Windows Installer rollback to execute code as SYSTEM.
CVE-2026-76061 2 Cri-o, Redhat 3 Cri-o, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform 2026-10-09 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in CRI-O's `bind_mount_prefix` handling. When configured with a non-empty `bind_mount_prefix`, a malicious container or local attacker could use a Container Runtime Interface (CRI) hostPath containing an intermediate absolute symlink. This could cause the bind mount source to resolve outside the intended prefixed root, potentially leading to unauthorized access to files or privilege escalation on the host system.
