CVSS v3.1 |
Wheels 1.1 through 4.1.2 resolves nestedProperties() records by posted primary key without checking that they belong to the parent being saved. A user able to submit a nested form for their own parent can update and reassign another parent's hasMany or hasOne rows, or delete them when allowDelete=true. Nested belongsTo records can also be edited by posting another associated record's key. New child rows with composite primary keys not made up of foreign keys retain posted key values, allowing the request to choose their identity. This is fixed in 4.2.0.
Wheels 4.0.0 through 4.1.2 uses case-insensitive comparisons in path-containment checks on case-sensitive filesystems. Canonical-path checks for zip entries, package mappings, development assets/docs, guide images and image tags can accept paths through an existing symlink to a case-distinct sibling directory, allowing access outside the intended root, including limited file disclosure. Separately, the CLI database-dump output check can write outside the application root to an existing writable case-distinct sibling directory; that action requires the CLI POST, loopback and password gate. This is fixed in 4.2.0.
Wheels 3.0.0 through 4.1.1 can disclose detailed exceptions when allowIPBasedDebugAccess=true (disabled by default). An allowed administrator request changes error/debug-display settings in shared application scope. If it overlaps with an unauthorized client's request that raises an error, that client can receive full exception details, including tag context or a serialized exception, and any sensitive data they contain. This race does not bypass the production gate protecting developer tools. This is fixed in 4.1.2.
Wheels through 4.1.1 derives its default production error-email address from the Host header of the request that starts the application. If no explicit error-email recipient is configured, a mail server is configured, and the server accepts an attacker-chosen Host, an attacker whose request triggers a cold start can direct later error emails to an address under their control for that application's lifetime. Emails disclose error and request metadata; on engines/versions where scope dumps render, they may also disclose configuration secrets and other users' session/cookie data. On the Lucee 7 engine, scope dumps fail to render, limiting disclosure to header fields. This is fixed in 4.1.2.
A flaw was found in Foreman. An authenticated attacker with low-level permissions can achieve remote code execution (RCE) by bypassing the safemode sandbox within the templating engine. Due to improper handling of delegated methods, an attacker can append unauthorized functions to the allowed execution list, enabling them to run arbitrary commands on the hosting server.
An output escaping vulnerability in the Audit Logs component of Crafty Controller allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to perform stored cross-site scripting via HTTP header injection
An input neutralization vulnerability in the Webhook URL form field component of Crafty Controller allows a remote, authenticated attacker to perform stored XSS via malicious form input
A flaw was found in Foreman. This vulnerability allows an authenticated user with low-level Viewer permissions to cause unauthorized information disclosure by submitting requests to template preview endpoints. By exploiting this issue, the user can access sensitive data, such as host root passwords. Furthermore, under insecure system configurations where Safemode protections are disabled, the flaw may allow the user to execute arbitrary commands as the Foreman system account.
Untrusted pointer dereference in Windows Virtualization-Based Security (VBS) Enclave allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
No cwe for this issue in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
Improper neutralization of special elements in output used by a downstream component ('injection') in Azure Storage Library allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
The Tourfic – AI Powered Travel Booking, Hotel Booking & Car Rental plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Comment Content via unfiltered_html Grant to Customer Role in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires WooCommerce to be active, but since the customer role is freely self-registerable without admin approval, exploitation is effectively possible by any unauthenticated visitor who registers a WooCommerce account. While the plugin's own listing-page templates sanitize output with wp_kses_post(), the stored payload is returned unsanitized via the unauthenticated GET /wp-json/wp/v2/comments REST endpoint (content.rendered) and post/comment RSS feeds, exposing any headless client, feed reader, or third-party widget that renders comment content.
Improper authorization in Skype for Business and Microsoft Lync allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
Time-of-check time-of-use (toctou) race condition in Linux Kernel allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
The fanx_fingerprint function in ssl/sslxprint.c of ssldump allocates a heap buffer for formatting FAN/1 X.509 certificate fingerprints. The allocation size is computed as strlen(b64) + strlen(hex) + 31, but the format string "fan1:x509:server:passive:%s:sha256:%s" contains 33 fixed characters in addition to the two variable-length fields and a null terminator, requiring strlen(b64) + strlen(hex) + 34 bytes. This miscalculation results in a 3-byte heap-based buffer overflow on every invocation of the function with valid inputs. The overflow occurs because sprintf writes the full formatted string into the undersized heap buffer without bounds checking. An attacker who can supply a crafted pcap file containing a TLS X.509 certificate to a user running ssldump with FAN/1 fingerprinting enabled (for example with the -j -N options) can trigger the overflow. The resulting heap corruption may lead to denial of service through a crash or, in a worst-case scenario, arbitrary code execution in the context of the user running ssldump. The vulnerability is deterministic and requires no special privileges beyond the ability to provide input to the tool.
The WX Subscribe 微信支付付费订阅 WordPress plugin through 1.2.1 does not sanitise and escape a parameter before using it in a SQL statement, allowing unauthenticated attackers to perform SQL injection attacks on installs where the payment key has not been configured.
The Coinsnap Bitcoin Crowdfunding WordPress plugin through 1.2.0 does not restrict access to the secret used to authenticate its payment gateway webhook, disclosing it to unauthenticated users and rendering the webhook's signature check ineffective. This allows unauthenticated attackers to forge payment-confirmation notifications and record arbitrary donations as completed, with attacker-chosen amounts, donor names and messages.
The Document Gallery WordPress plugin through 5.1.1 does not perform any capability or ownership check when generating a gallery on demand, allowing unauthenticated users to enumerate and disclose the titles, descriptions and direct file URLs of media attached to unpublished, private or trashed content.
The Mobile builder WordPress plugin through 1.4.2 does not sanitise and escape a parameter before using it in a SQL statement, allowing unauthenticated users to perform SQL injection attacks on sites that also run the WCFM Delivery add-on.
The Visual Form Builder WordPress plugin through 3.1 does not perform authorization or nonce checks when reordering form fields, allowing any authenticated user (Subscriber and above) to alter the field structure of any form on the site, persistently breaking its public rendering.
