| CVE-2017-12190 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 2 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The bio_map_user_iov and bio_unmap_user functions in block/bio.c in the Linux kernel before 4.13.8 do unbalanced refcounting when a SCSI I/O vector has small consecutive buffers belonging to the same page. The bio_add_pc_page function merges them into one, but the page reference is never dropped. This causes a memory leak and possible system lockup (exploitable against the host OS by a guest OS user, if a SCSI disk is passed through to a virtual machine) due to an out-of-memory condition. | ||||
| CVE-2017-11176 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 6 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.8 High |
| The mq_notify function in the Linux kernel through 4.11.9 does not set the sock pointer to NULL upon entry into the retry logic. During a user-space close of a Netlink socket, it allows attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free) or possibly have unspecified other impact. | ||||

| CVE-2017-2596 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Extras Rt | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The nested_vmx_check_vmptr function in arch/x86/kvm/vmx.c in the Linux kernel through 4.9.8 improperly emulates the VMXON instruction, which allows KVM L1 guest OS users to cause a denial of service (host OS memory consumption) by leveraging the mishandling of page references. | ||||
| CVE-2017-5970 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The ipv4_pktinfo_prepare function in net/ipv4/ip_sockglue.c in the Linux kernel through 4.9.9 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (system crash) via (1) an application that makes crafted system calls or possibly (2) IPv4 traffic with invalid IP options. | ||||
| CVE-2016-10200 | 3 Google, Linux, Redhat | 6 Android, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.0 High |
| Race condition in the L2TPv3 IP Encapsulation feature in the Linux kernel before 4.8.14 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (use-after-free) by making multiple bind system calls without properly ascertaining whether a socket has the SOCK_ZAPPED status, related to net/l2tp/l2tp_ip.c and net/l2tp/l2tp_ip6.c. | ||||
| CVE-2017-1000112 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 8 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 5 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.0 High |
| Linux kernel: Exploitable memory corruption due to UFO to non-UFO path switch. When building a UFO packet with MSG_MORE __ip_append_data() calls ip_ufo_append_data() to append. However in between two send() calls, the append path can be switched from UFO to non-UFO one, which leads to a memory corruption. In case UFO packet lengths exceeds MTU, copy = maxfraglen - skb->len becomes negative on the non-UFO path and the branch to allocate new skb is taken. This triggers fragmentation and computation of fraggap = skb_prev->len - maxfraglen. Fraggap can exceed MTU, causing copy = datalen - transhdrlen - fraggap to become negative. Subsequently skb_copy_and_csum_bits() writes out-of-bounds. A similar issue is present in IPv6 code. The bug was introduced in e89e9cf539a2 ("[IPv4/IPv6]: UFO Scatter-gather approach") on Oct 18 2005. | ||||

| The KEYS subsystem in the Linux kernel before 4.14.6 omitted an access-control check when adding a key to the current task's "default request-key keyring" via the request_key() system call, allowing a local user to use a sequence of crafted system calls to add keys to a keyring with only Search permission (not Write permission) to that keyring, related to construct_get_dest_keyring() in security/keys/request_key.c. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9242 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Extras Rt | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The __ip6_append_data function in net/ipv6/ip6_output.c in the Linux kernel through 4.11.3 is too late in checking whether an overwrite of an skb data structure may occur, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (system crash) via crafted system calls. | ||||
