CVSS v3.1 |
| In order to decrypt SM2 encrypted data an application is expected to call the API function EVP_PKEY_decrypt(). Typically an application will call this function twice. The first time, on entry, the "out" parameter can be NULL and, on exit, the "outlen" parameter is populated with the buffer size required to hold the decrypted plaintext. The application can then allocate a sufficiently sized buffer and call EVP_PKEY_decrypt() again, but this time passing a non-NULL value for the "out" parameter. A bug in the implementation of the SM2 decryption code means that the calculation of the buffer size required to hold the plaintext returned by the first call to EVP_PKEY_decrypt() can be smaller than the actual size required by the second call. This can lead to a buffer overflow when EVP_PKEY_decrypt() is called by the application a second time with a buffer that is too small. A malicious attacker who is able present SM2 content for decryption to an application could cause attacker chosen data to overflow the buffer by up to a maximum of 62 bytes altering the contents of other data held after the buffer, possibly changing application behaviour or causing the application to crash. The location of the buffer is application dependent but is typically heap allocated. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1l (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1k). |
| When reading a specially crafted ZIP archive, Compress can be made to allocate large amounts of memory that finally leads to an out of memory error even for very small inputs. This could be used to mount a denial of service attack against services that use Compress' zip package. |
| eivindfjeldstad-dot below 1.0.3 is vulnerable to Prototype Pollution.The function 'set' could be tricked into adding or modifying properties of 'Object.prototype' using a '__proto__' payload. |
| minimist before 1.2.2 could be tricked into adding or modifying properties of Object.prototype using a "constructor" or "__proto__" payload. |
| SubTypeValidator.java in FasterXML jackson-databind before 2.9.9.2 mishandles default typing when ehcache is used (because of net.sf.ehcache.transaction.manager.DefaultTransactionManagerLookup), leading to remote code execution. |
| Dell Container Storage Modules, versions prior to 1.18.0, contain(s) an Improper Neutralization of Special Elements Used in a Template Engine vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of privileges. |
| Inefficient complexity in the Sieve filter evaluation of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.2.24 through 6.3.5 allows an authenticated account holder to make the mail services unavailable with their own filter. A ':matches' pattern was matched by a backtracking descent whose time grew with the matched value's length raised to the number of wildcards, so a pattern such as '*a*a*a*b' over 800 characters took 44 seconds; and 'deleteheader' erased the fields it removed one at a time, so removing many fields of one name over a message's header cost O(N^2) (80,000 fields took 18.8 seconds). Sieve filters run on the small, shared delivery thread pool, so an account holder whose active script does this, fed a few messages they can send themselves, empties the pool and stops delivery for the whole server. The script is the account holder's own and cannot be set for another user. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: reject invalid sectors_per_cluster in the boot sector
is_boot_sector_ntfs() checks the boot sector's sectors_per_cluster field
with a range test that rejects 0x81..0xf3 but accepts 0 and other
non-power-of-two counts. A zero value reaches parse_ntfs_boot_sector():
sectors_per_cluster_bits = ffs(sectors_per_cluster) - 1;
...
vol->cluster_size = vol->sector_size << sectors_per_cluster_bits;
ffs(0) is 0, so sectors_per_cluster_bits becomes (unsigned)-1 and the
shift is undefined:
UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in fs/ntfs/super.c:673:39
shift exponent 4294967295 is too large for 32-bit type 'int'
This change rejects any non-power-of-two value, since it feeds the
aforementioned shift via ffs() - 1, which only yields the correct shift for a
power of two. |
| Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to 39.8.9, 40.9.2, 41.2.2, and 42.0.0-beta.4, objects copied across the contextBridge boundary from untrusted content could carry an attacker-influenced prototype, enabling prototype-pollution-style attacks against preload code despite context isolation being enabled. Apps are only affected if their preload code accepts object arguments from untrusted content and reads properties from them without own-property checks, while apps that only accept primitive arguments or validate object arguments are not affected. This issue is fixed in 39.8.9, 40.9.2, 41.2.2, and 42.0.0-beta.4. |
| Imager versions before 1.037 for Perl overflow a heap buffer fetching float samples from a paletted image in i_gsampf_fp.
For a paletted image, getsamples() with type "float" allocates a buffer of one sample per pixel and fetches every requested channel of each pixel into it. Requesting more than one channel writes past its end.
An attacker-supplied image controls the overflowing bytes through its palette. |
| Improper handling of length parameter inconsistency, Uncaught exception, Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity, Memory allocation with excessive size value, Initialization of a resource with an insecure default vulnerability in Apache Thrift Python, Ruby, Erlang, Lua, Dart, JavaME, Perl, PHP and D language bindings.
This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue. |
| A format string vulnerability in an affected service interface of HPE Networking ClearPass Policy Manager could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to corrupt process memory. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code. |
| Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity in GitHub repository node-fetch/node-fetch prior to 3.2.10. |
| Express Gateway through 1.16.11 contains a hardcoded cryptographic key vulnerability that allows attackers with datastore access to decrypt stored OAuth 2.0 token secrets via the default crypto.cipherKey 'sensitiveKey'. Attackers who can read Redis can decrypt tokenEncrypted values and combine them with stored token IDs to obtain valid bearer tokens for any user. |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-31, a client connected to the distributed pixel cache server can send crafted pixel data that triggers an integer-size calculation error and a heap buffer overwrite, crashing the server. This issue is fixed in version 7.1.2-31. |
| A security vulnerability was discovered in Fleet's Helm template preprocessing where templates evaluated by the Fleet controller could reach network resources outside the management cluster. A user who can supply bundle content to a repository referenced by a `GitRepo` resource can cause the Fleet controller to:
- Disclose cluster metadata available to the templating context.
- Reveal information about hosts reachable from the controller's network position.
Because the disclosure channel is name resolution, it may remain effective in environments where outbound traffic is otherwise restricted. The disclosed information is limited to values exposed to the Fleet templating context and to name resolution results. Integrity and availability of managed clusters are not affected.
This issue affects Fleet:
from 0.12.0 before 0.12.19,
from 0.13.0 before 0.13.15,
from 0.14.0 before 0.14.10,
from 0.15.0 before 0.15.6, and
from 0.16.0 before 0.16.1. |
| A system notification template on the Kiteworks appliance was rendered by a template engine that evaluated expressions contained in the stored template body. An authenticated System Administrator could potentially store a crafted template that executed operating-system commands on the appliance when the notification was next sent. |
| Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity (CWE-1333) in Elasticsearch can lead to denial of service via Regular Expression Exponential Blowup (CAPEC-492). The ES|QL CHUNK function's recursive chunking strategy accepts a list of user-supplied regular expressions used as text-splitting separators, without validating their computational complexity or bounding their execution time. An authenticated user with read access to any text-based index can submit a specially crafted regular expression that triggers catastrophic backtracking, consuming excessive CPU on Elasticsearch worker threads and degrading query throughput for other tenants on the affected node. The cluster does not crash as a result of this issue. |
| A flaw was found in the X.Org X Server and XWayland. An error handling issue in the X Keyboard Extension (XKB) geometry processing fails to clear a memory pointer after an allocation failure, leading to a double-free condition during cleanup. A local user can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request to the display server. This can cause memory corruption, potentially resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) or arbitrary code execution with elevated privileges. |
| An incorrect buffer size calculation vulnerability exists in tinyexpr commit 4a7456e in new_expr(). For arity-0 expression nodes, including constants, variables, and zero-argument functions, the function allocates less memory than sizeof(te_expr) but treats the returned allocation as a complete te_expr object. This results in undefined behavior and can cause deterministic process termination in UBSan-instrumented builds. |
