CVSS v3.1 |
| IVFFlat index build in pgvector before 0.8.7 allows a database user to write data out-of-bounds, which can lead to arbitrary code execution. |
| Starlette is a lightweight ASGI framework/toolkit. Prior to version 1.0.1, the HTTP `Host` request header was not validated before being used to reconstruct `request.url`. Because the routing algorithm relies on the raw HTTP path while `request.url` is rebuilt from the `Host` header, a malformed header could make `request.url.path` differ from the path that was actually requested. Middleware and endpoints that apply security restrictions based on `request.url` (rather than the raw `scope` path) could therefore be bypassed. Users should upgrade to a version greater than or equal to version 1.0.1, which validates the `Host` header against the grammar of RFC 9112 §3.2 / RFC 3986 §3.2.2 when constructing `request.url` and falls back to `scope["server"]` for malformed values. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: ath11k: cap out-of-range rx MCS instead of leaving bogus rate
ath11k can receive HT/VHT/HE frames whose reported MCS is above the
maximum that can be expressed in the corresponding mac80211 rate space
(e.g. an HE frame reported with MCS 12, while HE tops out at MCS 11).
The frame itself is valid and decodes correctly, but for such a frame
ath11k_dp_rx_h_rate() leaves rx_status->rate_idx set to the out-of-range
value and never assigns rx_status->encoding, so it stays RX_ENC_LEGACY
from the ath11k_dp_rx_h_ppdu() initialization. Once that frame reaches
mac80211 it trips the rate sanity check and the frame is dropped with a
splat:
ath11k_pci 0000:03:00.0: Received with invalid mcs in HE mode 12
WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 0 at net/mac80211/rx.c:5433 ieee80211_rx_list+0xb0a/0xe90 [mac80211]
Dropping the frame would discard otherwise valid data, so instead cap the
reported MCS to the maximum the rate space can express and deliver the
frame. Set rx_status->encoding before the range check and assign rate_idx
from the capped value, so a frame with an out-of-range MCS no longer
leaves partial or bogus rate metadata behind. Also downgrade the logging
level since they are not treated as invalid frames now. The only loss is
that such a frame is reported as the capped MCS in the rx rate statistics.

| MikroTik RouterOS before 7.25beta4 contains an improper input validation vulnerability in the labelled-VPN NLRI iterators of the routing service that allows an unauthenticated on-path attacker to crash the BGP service by sending a malformed MP_REACH_NLRI UPDATE message with a prefix-length value below the minimum valid for a labelled-VPN NLRI, which passes validation while describing a route with a negative-length address portion. Attackers can repeatedly send a single BGP UPDATE packet carrying a VPNv4 or VPNv6 NLRI with an out-of-bounds prefix-length to indefinitely hold down the BGP plane, causing session termination without a NOTIFICATION and triggering a service malfunction on the device. The fix is carried only in 7.25beta4, a development build; the current stable release 7.24.2 and the current long-term release 7.23.5 both remain affected. |
| A flaw has been found in Trusted Domain Project OpenDMARC up to 1.4.2. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file policy.c of the component Domain Handler. Executing a manipulation can lead to improper validation of unsafe equivalence in input. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |

| Two issues in the ThreadX loadable-module loader, reached when a device loads an attacker-controlled module object via `_txm_module_manager_memory_load` / `_txm_module_manager_in_place_load` — APIs that take ONLY a base pointer, no image length, so every size/offset field in `TXM_MODULE_PREAMBLE` is fully attacker-trusted: (1) a heap OOB **read** (`code_size` trusted as the source-image length in the code-copy loop), and (2) a control-flow-integrity / defense-in-depth gap (module entry/start/callback/stop pointers computed as `code_start + preamble_offset` with only a `!= 0` check, and the preamble `checksum` never verified). No controlled OOB write was found (honest — the copy destination is overflow-guarded). |
| `_nx_icmpv6_validate_options()` scans the option area with `while (length > 2)` (`common/src/nx_icmpv6_validate_options.c:79`). An area whose size leaves a one- or two-byte residue exits the loop with that tail unexamined; the residue is not negative, so the function returns `NX_SUCCESS`. Its zero-length rejection never sees those bytes.
Every consumer then re-walks the same area, reading a two-byte option header at the residue and subtracting `nx_icmpv6_option_length << 3` with no zero check and no remaining-length check. Three outcomes follow, selected by bytes the attacker controls.
**Zero length byte.** The walker subtracts zero and advances zero. All four handlers loop forever — `_nx_icmpv6_process_ra` (`nx_icmpv6_process_ra.c:245, :528`), `_nx_icmpv6_process_ns` (`:251, :329`), `_nx_icmpv6_process_na` (`:147, :156`) and `_nx_icmpv6_process_redirect` (`:247, :350`). The walk runs in the IP thread, which is the highest-priority thread and does not yield inside the loop, so the system stops until a watchdog reset and the frame can be replayed after each one.
**Non-zero length byte on a short residue.** The three unsigned counters underflow — `2 - 8` becomes `0xFFFFFFFA` — and the walk continues past the packet buffer, reading until it faults or meets a zero length byte and freezes. The Router Advertisement counter is signed and exits cleanly in this case.
**One-byte residue.** The walker reads a two-byte option header, over-reading one byte.
During a runaway walk, stray bytes parsing as a link-layer address option are copied into the neighbor cache (`nx_icmpv6_process_ns.c:280, :293`) and subsequently used as the destination MAC for frames to that neighbour, placing off-packet memory on the link. Confirmed by inspection, not reproduced. |
| Mounting an attacker-controlled NAND flash image (`lx_nand_flash_open()`) triggers an unbounded out-of-bounds heap **write** in LevelX's NAND flash-translation-layer metadata parser that overwrites a driver function pointer in the control block, giving a demonstrated control-flow hijack — RIP set to a full 8-byte attacker-chosen value (register-verified). Two accompanying OOB reads. All reproduced verbatim under ASan at HEAD `9f1cfdc`. (The affected metadata-parser header states "Some portions generated by Copilot (Sonnet 4.6)" — an AI-generated parser with an unchecked on-flash count.) |

| Improper Validation of Unsafe Equivalence in Input vulnerability in Liquid Web / StellarWP GiveWP allows Authentication Bypass.
This issue affects GiveWP: from n/a through 4.16.9. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/client: validate new EOF for insert range
smb3_insert_range() does not check if the new file size
(i_size + len) is valid. This allows FALLOC_FL_INSERT_RANGE to bypass
RLIMIT_FSIZE, exceed s_maxbytes, or produce a size outside the loff_t
range.
Use check_add_overflow() to calculate the new EOF. Validate it with
inode_newsize_ok() before modifying the file.
Reproducer, using a file on a CIFS mount:
bash -c '
FILE=/mnt/cifs/repro
trap "" SIGXFSZ
ulimit -f 3072 # RLIMIT_FSIZE = 3 MiB
# A regular write is stopped at 3 MiB.
dd if=/dev/zero of="$FILE" bs=1M count=4 status=none
stat -c "size after write: %s" "$FILE"
# Insert 2 MiB into a 2 MiB file.
truncate -s 2M "$FILE"
fallocate -i -o 0 -l 2M "$FILE"
stat -c "size after insert: %s" "$FILE"
'
Before this change, the regular write stops at the 3 MiB limit, but
insert range grows the file to 4 MiB:
dd: error writing '/mnt/cifs/repro': File too large
size after write: 3145728
size after insert: 4194304
After this change, insert range also fails at the limit and leaves the
2 MiB file unchanged:
dd: error writing '/mnt/cifs/repro': File too large
size after write: 3145728
fallocate: fallocate failed: File too large
size after insert: 2097152 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: reject oversized tx_queue_len at netlink parse time
rtnl_create_link() assigns IFLA_TXQLEN directly to dev->tx_queue_len
without going through netif_change_tx_queue_len(), so a device created
with "ip link add ... txqueuelen 500000" bypasses the S16_MAX cap and
still triggers the oversized ring allocations in pfifo_fast, tun and
tap. The veth peer nest (rtnl_nla_parse_ifinfomsg()) and the
RTM_NEWLINK-on-existing-device path reach the same sinks.
Enforce the cap in ifla_policy instead: IFLA_TXQLEN becomes
NLA_POLICY_FULL_RANGE(NLA_U32, &txqlen_range) with
txqlen_range = { .min = 0, .max = S16_MAX }. All netlink consumers
parse against this policy - rtnl_setlink(), rtnl_newlink() (create
and change), and the veth peer nest - so every netlink path is capped
at parse time and rejects the attribute with -ERANGE plus a proper
"integer out of range" extack message before any device state is
modified (the RTM_SETLINK half-application wart is gone with it).
Document the bound in the rt-link.yaml netlink spec.
Conditions to recreate the bug:
- CONFIG_NET_SCHED=y, CONFIG_VETH=y, CONFIG_USER_NS=y, CONFIG_NET_NS=y.
- Unprivileged user in a fresh user+net namespace (unshare -Urn):
ip link add v0 txqueuelen 500000 type veth peer name v1
-> on the fixed kernel this is rejected with -ERANGE ("integer out
of range" extack) instead of installing an oversized tx_queue_len
that later inflates pfifo_fast/tun/tap ring allocations.
- ip link set v0 txqueuelen 500000 is likewise rejected at parse time. |
| Improper neutralization of special elements in data query logic in the GridFS component of the MongoDB Go Driver can cause a caller-supplied structured file identifier to be interpreted as a query condition rather than as a literal identifier. An authenticated user who can influence the identifier passed by an affected application may cause all GridFS file chunks in the affected bucket to be removed, rendering stored file content unreadable. |
| Net::IDN::Punycode::PP versions before 2.590 for Perl decode a truncated label to a name containing a character it never encoded in decode_punycode.
The pure-Perl decoder reads one digit at a time with four-argument substr and tests the result with defined to detect the end of the input. substr on an exhausted string returns the empty string rather than undef, so decoding continues past the end. The empty string converts to a digit value below the range, reducing the accumulator, and the decoder derives one extra code point and its position from it. The result is deterministic. The XS backend rejects the same label.
Net::IDN::Punycode uses this backend wherever the XS does not build.
The two backends disagree about what such a label means, so a sender can pick a label that one installation resolves to a name and another rejects. |
| Net::IDN::Punycode versions before 2.590 for Perl hang, crash or return a wrong label via unvalidated malformed UTF-8 in encode_punycode.
Neither backend checks that its input is well-formed UTF-8, so a string with the UTF-8 flag set over malformed bytes, as the :utf8 PerlIO layer produces from any malformed input, reaches the encoder unchecked. On perl 5.32 and later the XS backend reports a malformed sequence with a length of `(STRLEN)-1`, so the scan steps back one byte instead of forward and never ends. On earlier perls the XS returns a valid label for a different name. The pure-Perl backend runs a regex over the flagged string. Depending on the bytes, it aborts with SIGBUS on perl 5.28 and later, dies with a panic, or returns a wrong label.
The documented conversion functions match the label against Unicode properties first and that match dies on such a string, so only a direct call to encode_punycode reaches the defect. The decoder is not affected.
A direct caller encoding attacker-supplied bytes hangs, crashes or gets a label for a name the input never held. |
| A vulnerability was determined in Barco ClickShare CX-20 Gen2 up to 02.26.00.0007. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file /wallpaper of the component Wallpaper Upload. This manipulation of the argument wallpaper causes improper validation of syntactic correctness of input. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Axios is a promise-based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. From 1.12.0 until 1.20.0, ResolveConfig reads inherited Symbol.toStringTag, append, and getHeaders properties while resolving FormData headers. A separate same-process prototype-pollution flaw supplies an array or non-plain class instance whose inherited properties make it appear FormData-like; plain objects are blocked. The inherited getHeaders function can return attacker-controlled headers that resolveConfig merges into a fetch adapter request. Attacker-controlled headers can alter authorization, cache, metadata-service, or application-specific request behavior. This issue is fixed in version 1.20.0. |
