| A flaw was found in KubeVirt. An authenticated user with permission to create Virtual Machine Instances (VMIs) can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by submitting a virtual machine definition with an empty ephemeral volume. The virt-controller component fails to properly validate the volume configuration, leading to an unhandled exception and application crash during processing. Because the malformed definition persists in the cluster, the controller enters a continuous crash loop, disrupting virtual machine lifecycle operations across the entire environment. |
| Deserialization of untrusted data in the model loading component in Amazon GluonTS before 0.17.0 might allow context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary operating system commands with the privileges of the loading process via a crafted serialized model directory.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 0.17.0 or later. |
| A NULL pointer dereference in the AP4_TkhdAtom::GetTrackId() function of Aleksoid1978 MPC-BE before commit 4341cb3 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted MP4 file. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Mark the zero register precise for a register-form NULL check
check_cond_jmp_op() accepts "if rA <op> rB" as a NULL check for a
nullable pointer rA when rB is a scalar known to be zero,
lifts PTR_MAYBE_NULL from rA in the corresponding branch and does not
mark rB precise. Consider the following program:
r0 = bpf_get_prandom_u32();
r6 = 1; /* the r6 == 0 path is explored first */
if (r0 == 0) goto 1f;
r6 = 0;
1:
r0 = bpf_map_lookup_elem(map, &0); /* absent, NULL at runtime */
if (r0 == r6) goto 2f; /* taken as a NULL check for r0 */
*(u8 *)(r0 + 0); /* verifier: map value; runtime: zero */
2:
return 0;
The r6 == 0 path is explored first and the dereference is accepted.
The r6 == 1 path is pruned at the checkpoint recorded for (1),
so the comparison is never verified with a non-zero r6. At runtime a
failed lookup returns NULL, NULL != 1 takes the non-NULL edge and the
program dereferences a pointer that is zero. |
| A database user able to create a view in a namespace that MongoDB Connector for BI samples can cause the schema-sampling routine to stop functioning by defining a view whose evaluation reliably fails. The sampling logic classifies the resulting server message as transient and, after the configured retries are exhausted, proceeds without a valid result, ending the schema refresh routine. The mongosqld process continues running without a usable schema, so SQL clients are unable to obtain results until an operator removes the view or excludes its namespace from sampling. |
| Null pointer dereference in Active Directory Domain Services allows an authorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| Apache ActiveMQ Artemis before 2.34.0 contains an unsafe reflection vulnerability in FederationStreamConnectMessage.getFederationPolicy(). The method calls Class.forName(clazz).getConstructor().newInstance() where clazz is read directly from the CORE protocol wire buffer without type validation. An authenticated federation peer can send a FEDERATION_DOWNSTREAM_CONNECT packet with a crafted class name, causing the broker to load and instantiate arbitrary classes visible to the Artemis module classloader. Static initializers (<clinit>) and no-argument constructors (<init>()) execute as side effects before the type cast, enabling denial of service via system-property poisoning, out-of-memory conditions via classloading, or broker state manipulation. |
| Null pointer dereference in Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Miniport Driver allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service locally. |

| Espruino 2v29 (commit bffc6d0) contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in jslGetRawString() in src/jslex.c. Crafted raw/binary string input can cause the lexer to pass a NULL iterator target to jsvLockAgain(). In RELEASE/NO_ASSERT builds, the missing assertion guard allows a write through the NULL pointer, resulting in memory corruption and application termination or denial of service. |
| Frappe ERPNext versions before 16.34.1 fail to validate that Financial Report Template calculation_formula values reference whitelisted methods before passing them to frappe.call(). Accounts Managers can supply arbitrary dotted Python paths to invoke non-whitelisted internal server-side methods and read their return values. |
| parse_write_op() in subsys/net/lib/lwm2m/lwm2m_message_handling.c handles inbound CoAP WRITE/CREATE requests that carry a Block1 option. For the first block of a transfer it called init_block_ctx() and then immediately stored the peer-selected block size with block_ctx->ctx.block_size = block_size before inspecting the return code. init_block_ctx() sets the caller's pointer to NULL and returns -ENOMEM when no entry of the static block1_contexts[] pool is free or timed out, so that store dereferences a NULL pointer.
The pool holds CONFIG_LWM2M_NUM_BLOCK1_CONTEXT entries (default 3) and an entry is only reclaimed once its transfer completes, fails, or ages past 30 seconds. A peer that reaches the client's LwM2M socket can therefore start three block-wise writes on three distinct object paths with the CoAP More bit set and leave them incomplete, then send the first block of a fourth write on a new path to reach the unguarded dereference. Reachability is gated only by the connected UDP socket's source-address filter unless CONFIG_LWM2M_DTLS_SUPPORT is enabled — which has no default — so in a NoSec deployment an on-path or address-spoofing attacker needs no credentials; the same sequence is also reachable from a bootstrap or lower-trust server, and can be hit accidentally by a legitimate server running four concurrent block transfers.
The write targets a fixed low address with a value between 0 and 7, so the consequence is a fatal memory fault (BusFault or corrupted low memory leading to a fault) rather than a usable memory-corruption primitive: the device crashes or resets. Confidentiality and integrity are not affected. The fix moves the store below the guard and validates the context pointer itself instead of the return code, so the context is only touched once it is known to be valid. |
