| CVE-2022-48864 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-05 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vdpa/mlx5: add validation for VIRTIO_NET_CTRL_MQ_VQ_PAIRS_SET command When control vq receives a VIRTIO_NET_CTRL_MQ_VQ_PAIRS_SET command request from the driver, presently there is no validation against the number of queue pairs to configure, or even if multiqueue had been negotiated or not is unverified. This may lead to kernel panic due to uninitialized resource for the queues were there any bogus request sent down by untrusted driver. Tie up the loose ends there. | ||||
| CVE-2024-57997 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: wcn36xx: fix channel survey memory allocation size KASAN reported a memory allocation issue in wcn->chan_survey due to incorrect size calculation. This commit uses kcalloc to allocate memory for wcn->chan_survey, ensuring proper initialization and preventing the use of uninitialized values when there are no frames on the channel. | ||||
| CVE-2024-56677 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/fadump: Move fadump_cma_init to setup_arch() after initmem_init() During early init CMA_MIN_ALIGNMENT_BYTES can be PAGE_SIZE, since pageblock_order is still zero and it gets initialized later during initmem_init() e.g. setup_arch() -> initmem_init() -> sparse_init() -> set_pageblock_order() One such use case where this causes issue is - early_setup() -> early_init_devtree() -> fadump_reserve_mem() -> fadump_cma_init() This causes CMA memory alignment check to be bypassed in cma_init_reserved_mem(). Then later cma_activate_area() can hit a VM_BUG_ON_PAGE(pfn & ((1 << order) - 1)) if the reserved memory area was not pageblock_order aligned. Fix it by moving the fadump_cma_init() after initmem_init(), where other such cma reservations also gets called. <stack trace> ============== page: refcount:0 mapcount:0 mapping:0000000000000000 index:0x0 pfn:0x10010 flags: 0x13ffff800000000(node=1|zone=0|lastcpupid=0x7ffff) CMA raw: 013ffff800000000 5deadbeef0000100 5deadbeef0000122 0000000000000000 raw: 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 00000000ffffffff 0000000000000000 page dumped because: VM_BUG_ON_PAGE(pfn & ((1 << order) - 1)) ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernel BUG at mm/page_alloc.c:778! | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpiolib: cdev: fix uninitialised kfifo If a line is requested with debounce, and that results in debouncing in software, and the line is subsequently reconfigured to enable edge detection then the allocation of the kfifo to contain edge events is overlooked. This results in events being written to and read from an uninitialised kfifo. Read events are returned to userspace. Initialise the kfifo in the case where the software debounce is already active. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i40e: fix vf may be used uninitialized in this function warning To fix the regression introduced by commit 52424f974bc5, which causes servers hang in very hard to reproduce conditions with resets races. Using two sources for the information is the root cause. In this function before the fix bumping v didn't mean bumping vf pointer. But the code used this variables interchangeably, so stale vf could point to different/not intended vf. Remove redundant "v" variable and iterate via single VF pointer across whole function instead to guarantee VF pointer validity. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nci: Fix uninit-value in nci_dev_up and nci_ntf_packet syzbot reported the following uninit-value access issue [1][2]: nci_rx_work() parses and processes received packet. When the payload length is zero, each message type handler reads uninitialized payload and KMSAN detects this issue. The receipt of a packet with a zero-size payload is considered unexpected, and therefore, such packets should be silently discarded. This patch resolved this issue by checking payload size before calling each message type handler codes. | ||||
