CVE-2026-107818 1 Mariadb 1 Server 2026-10-09 8.4 High
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, the mariadb.service unit used /run/mysqld/wsrep-new-cluster during the next service restart. A database user with FILE privilege and a secure-file-priv configuration permitting writes to /run/mysqld could create that file and inject attacker-controlled environment values into the restarted service. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.
CVE-2026-107817 1 Mariadb 1 Server 2026-10-09 4.4 Medium
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, the mysql_json plugin assumed that imported MySQL tables contained valid MySQL binary JSON data. A specially prepared MySQL table containing invalid JSON data could cause out-of-bounds reads, information disclosure, or a server crash. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.
CVE-2026-107822 1 Mariadb 1 Server 2026-10-09 6.4 Medium
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, MariaDB's ACL cache could generate the same database-privilege cache key for role and localhost user names that matched because both used an empty IP component. An attacker with CREATE USER could create the colliding principal and, when the original principal's database privileges were cached, exercise privileges assigned to the other account. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.
CVE-2026-107821 1 Mariadb 1 Server 2026-10-09 8 High
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, MariaDB insufficiently validated counts, offsets, lengths, and field boundaries in FRM metadata while opening binary FRM files. An attacker able to place a crafted FRM file in the data directory could trigger out-of-bounds reads or writes, crash the server, or potentially execute code. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.
CVE-2026-107816 1 Mariadb 1 Server 2026-10-09 6.4 Medium
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, the qc_info plugin could be confused by a query containing embedded null bytes. Reading information_schema.query_cache_info after such a query was cached could access data beyond the end of a heap-allocated buffer, potentially disclosing adjacent memory or crashing the server. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.
CVE-2026-107819 1 Mariadb 1 Server 2026-10-09 5.9 Medium
MariaDB Connector/C is a C and C++ client library for connecting applications to MariaDB and MySQL databases. From 3.4.1 until 3.4.10, the MariaDB Connector/C libmariadb Zero-Configuration SSL authentication-switch logic checked certificate trust failure but did not reject a TLS hostname verification mismatch before selecting a non-hashing authentication plugin. An active man-in-the-middle attacker with a valid certificate for another hostname could request mysql_clear_password and obtain the database password inside the attacker-controlled TLS connection. Other MariaDB connectors are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.10.
CVE-2026-107823 1 Mariadb 1 Server 2026-10-09 7.2 High
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, the MariaDB view FRM parser did not safely encode embedded newline characters in a username. An account with CREATE USER and CREATE VIEW WITH GRANT OPTION could create a crafted username containing additional view metadata, causing the parser to interpret part of the username as security metadata and potentially escalating database privileges. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.
CVE-2026-107815 1 Mariadb 1 Server 2026-10-09 8.5 High
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, the CONNECT engine's DOS table type used an incorrect boundary check that permitted a one-byte null write beyond a stack buffer at an attacker-controlled offset. An authenticated user able to use the CONNECT engine could cause a crash and potentially remote code execution. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.
CVE-2026-107814 1 Mariadb 1 Server 2026-10-09 8.4 High
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, MariaDB RPM packages created the dedicated mysql service account with the database data directory as its home directory. A database user with the FILE privilege could write startup dot-files such as .bash_profile into $HOME, and those files could execute when an administrator opened a login shell for the mysql account. Debian packages are not affected because they use /nonexistent as the account home. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.
CVE-2026-107385 1 Mariadb 1 Connector-nodejs 2026-10-09 7.4 High
MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 3.2.5, 3.3.4, 3.4.7, and 3.5.4, text-protocol escaping always prefixes quotes with a backslash and does not honor the session's NO_BACKSLASH_ESCAPES mode, including in Connection.escape(). When that mode is enabled, the backslash is an ordinary character, so an attacker-controlled placeholder value can close the SQL string literal and inject arbitrary SQL with the application's database privileges. The vulnerable configuration may be enabled server-wide, through connector initialization options, or with an application-issued SET sql_mode; execute() and batch() use binary protocols and are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.5, 3.3.4, 3.4.7, and 3.5.4.
CVE-2026-107382 1 Mariadb 1 Connector-nodejs 2026-10-08 5.9 Medium
MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. From 3.3.0 until 3.5.4, the zero-configuration TLS fingerprint-validation path calls Ed25519PasswordAuth.hash() through Authentication.validateFingerPrint, but Ed25519PasswordAuth.hash() references a seed identifier that is not in scope. Exposure requires a MariaDB server reached over TCP, TLS enabled with ssl: true or an ssl object whose rejectUnauthorized value is not false, a password set, no ssl.ca configured, and client_ed25519 negotiated as the authentication plugin. Under those conditions, a legitimate server, malicious server, or network attacker presenting a self-signed certificate can reach this path and cause a synchronous ReferenceError to escape the socket data handler. Under Node.js default uncaught-exception behavior, the client process terminates, causing denial of service. Configurations using a provided CA, rejectUnauthorized: false, another authentication plugin, or a Unix socket do not reach this vulnerable path. This issue is fixed in version 3.5.4.
CVE-2026-107383 1 Mariadb 1 Connector-nodejs 2026-10-08 7.5 High
MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 3.2.5, 3.3.4, 3.4.7, and 3.5.4, the GeoJSON Polygon and MultiPolygon binary encoders size a Buffer.allocUnsafe() allocation from each ring's numeric length before confirming that the ring is an array. A malformed non-array ring can therefore reserve bytes that the writing loop skips, and the connector sends the full buffer through execute() or batch(), disclosing uninitialized Node.js heap data into a database value. The persisted data can include other users' content, session material, database credentials, or TLS key material and may propagate to backups and replicas. The text-protocol query() path is not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.5, 3.3.4, 3.4.7, and 3.5.4.
CVE-2026-61700 1 Mariadb 1 Connector-j 2026-09-21 3.7 Low
MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, ClientMessage.readPacket processes a server-initiated LOCAL INFILE protocol packet 0xfb without enforcing allowLocalInfile=false. When an application sends a LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE COM_QUERY, a rogue or man-in-the-middle server can echo the same filename and cause the connector to transmit that file despite the disabled option. The server cannot redirect the request to an arbitrary path and can receive only the exact file already selected by the application, so exploitation requires an application that actively loads sensitive data over an untrusted connection. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9.
CVE-2026-44172 2 Mariadb, Redhat 3 Mariadb, Server, Enterprise Linux 2026-09-17 9.1 Critical
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. In versions 3.3.18 and 3.4.8, an application that was taking non-validated user input, escaping it with mysql_real_escape_string() and sending it to the database using text protocol and big5 character set was vulnerable to SQL injections, even though mysql_real_escape_string() was supposed to prevent them. This issue has been patched in versions 3.3.19 and 3.4.9.
CVE-2026-55854 1 Mariadb 1 Connector-nodejs 2026-08-31 5.9 Medium
MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3, MariaDB Connector/Node.js can disclose an account password when PAM dialog authentication is negotiated over an insecure transport. In lib/cmd/handshake/auth/pam-password-auth.js and lib/cmd/handshake/authentication.js, the SendPamAuthPacketFactory behavior for the server-side plugin dialog lacked the secure-transport gate applied to mysql_clear_password. With the default sslMode=DISABLE and restrictedAuth=null settings, a hostile or on-path server can send an Authentication Switch Request for dialog over plain TCP, causing the connector to return the account password in cleartext. Properly verified TLS and a local Unix socket prevent this path, while fingerprint-only server identity validation is not sufficient. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3.
CVE-2026-55855 1 Mariadb 1 Connector-nodejs 2026-08-31 6.5 Medium
MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3, MariaDB Connector/Node.js permits SQL injection when attacker-controlled Buffer parameters are escaped client-side under the big5, gbk, sjis, cp932, or gb18030 client character sets. PacketOutputStream.writeBufferEscape in lib/io/packet-output-stream.js escaped bytes without the charset-aware getMbRecognizer logic in lib/misc/charset-mb.js. The server SQL lexer runs my_ismbchar before escape processing, so an attacker-controlled lead byte can consume the inserted 0x5C backslash as a multibyte trail byte and leave the following 0x27 quote unescaped, terminating the string literal and allowing arbitrary SQL. The default utf8mb4 character set and parameters sent through the execute binary prepared-statement path are not affected. Successful exploitation can expose or modify data available to the database account. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3.
CVE-2026-55857 1 Mariadb 1 Connector-j 2026-08-31 5.9 Medium
MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, PAM dialog authentication can be coerced into transmitting the account password over an insecure connection. The mysql_clear_password plugin is gated behind a secure transport, but the sibling PAM handler SendPamAuthPacketFactory, named dialog by the server, does not declare that requirement and inherits the default secure-required value false; older branches implement the same affected behavior in SendPamAuthPacket. A hostile or man-in-the-middle server can send an Authentication Switch Request for dialog over plain TCP, causing the driver to return the user's password in cleartext when sslMode=DISABLE and restrictedAuth=null, which is the default configuration. Properly verified TLS and local Unix sockets are not exposed to this transport vector. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9.
CVE-2026-55860 1 Mariadb 1 Connector-r2dbc 2026-08-31 5.9 Medium
MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java. Prior to 1.4.1, org.mariadb:r2dbc-mariadb does not gate clear-text password authentication plugins on transport encryption because the AuthenticationPlugin interface has no capability for a plugin to require a secure connection. A hostile or man-in-the-middle MariaDB server can send an AuthSwitchRequest naming mysql_clear_password or dialog (PAM) over a plain-TCP unencrypted connection, and AuthenticationFlow permits ClearPasswordPluginFlow or PamPluginFlow to return the user's password as cleartext bytes on the wire. The disclosed credentials can subsequently be used to authenticate directly to the database server. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.
CVE-2026-49261 1 Mariadb 2 Mariadb, Server 2026-08-12 10 Critical
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. Versions 10.6.1 through 10.6.26, 10.11.1 through 10.11.17, 11.4.1 through 11.4.11, 11.8.1 through 11.8.7, and 12.3.1 with `wsrep_notify_cmd` enabled would execute shell commands embedded in the name of the joiner node. This is fixed in 10.6.27, 10.11.18, 11.4.12, 11.8.8, and 12.3.2. As a workaround, anyone who cannot upgrade now should disable `wsrep_notify_cmd`.
CVE-2026-44170 1 Mariadb 2 Mariadb, Server 2026-06-17 9.8 Critical
MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From versions 10.6.1 to before 10.6.26, 10.11.1 to before 10.11.17, 11.4.1 to before 11.4.11, 11.8.1 to before 11.8.7, and 12.3.1, MariaDB on WIndows with installed CONNECT engine and enabled REST support interpolated table HTTP attribute into the curl command line without proper sanitizing. This allows the user to execute shell commands on the server. This issue has been patched in versions 10.6.26, 10.11.17, 11.4.11, 11.8.7, and 12.3.2.
